Why Kumbo?

Kumbo presents a compelling case for investment, combining strong foundational assets with clear opportunities for scalable growth.

Healthcare Infrastructure

Two institutions of sub-regional importance — St. Elizabeth Catholic General Hospital (Shisong Cardiac Centre) and Banso Baptist Hospital (PACCS) — anchor a growing medical ecosystem with opportunities in pharmaceutical supply and specialised services.

Agricultural Productivity

The highland climate supports high-value crops including Irish potato, vegetables, coffee, and honey, alongside an expanding livestock sector with significant agro-processing potential.

Cultural & Eco-Tourism

With assets such as the Nso Palace, the Mus'Art Gallery, and established cultural traditions, Kumbo has a credible foundation for carefully developed tourism investment.

Human Capital

A network of secondary schools and vocational institutions, including SAR/SM Yungkui, provides a growing labour force suitable for enterprise development and skills-based industries.

Established Networks

Active external community and professional networks across Cameroon and internationally represent important channels for investment collaboration and market linkages.

Priority Investment Areas

The Kumbo Council Development Plan identifies the following sectors as priority areas for partnership and investment.

1

Rehabilitation of farm-to-market roads to improve agricultural market access

2

Agro-processing facilities to extend product shelf life and increase value addition

3

Water supply and sanitation infrastructure for underserved communities

4

Renewable energy solutions, including solar systems for public and off-grid use

5

Upgrading of vocational training centres aligned with labour market demand
